Creating a Scene in Maya.

By using simple maya tools and texturing techniques, I created a small scene in maya ready for import to UDK (Unreal Development Kit).

This scene was created with the use of CrazyBump to generate normal maps and specular maps to alter and deepen the effect of standard image texturing. The normal maps help the process by essentially faking a 3D effect, adding shadows and highlight areas to the image. The specular map helps by changing the gloss of areas, creating different visual textures across a single image, and helping exaggerate the effect of the normals.

These three images with light sources show in greater detail the effects of the normal and specular maps.
