Character Design

For the protagonist of our game, we agreed upon having the character be some form of elemental/golem/creation. Working from this, I gathered some images to help inform the visuals and the feel of the characters. The images range from elementals, to djinn, to colossal beasts from MTG.
With the moodboard for the character complete, I moved onto silhouettes of the character. I didn't do as many as I'd hoped because after creating some that I feel were kind of interesting, I was able to mix and match parts of the silhouettes to make one that I feel would work well for our character.

After the silhouettes, I iterated into the silhouette to try and create a basic look, how the character would appear on several levels, using grey scale to convey the different surfaces and levels on the character. Once coming up with a design that me and my team agreed looked good, I worked into that iteration to provide colour options and combinations.

After these iterations, I moved onto design the face of the protagonist. (continued in the next post)
