I have found several online reports discussing Bronze Age technology and architecture. Sadly I cannot find anything which completely supports the use of woad body paint or tattoos, and if anything, have found that it is more of a creative interpretation, however, it is possible they could have used copper and iron based pigments, which are also blue in the correct application.

Back to the topic though, two of these four links discuss metallurgy and craft in Bronze age Britain, discussing how metallurgy moved its way from south west Asia through Europe to Britain, but oddly, hit Ireland before England. The second two links discuss domestic and castle based architecture of the time. It appears that there is some crossover in architecture between the Bronze age and the Iron age, with the only major differences being some slight improvement in the build of the houses etc.
