I have completed two more environment pieces, the first is just the tree, by using various techniques I tried to give a dramatic look to the tree, such as the shading and high perspective. The second piece is a more paint like piece, which for being my first proper painted piece without relying on blending modes and other various techniques, I feel has turned out quite well. It is an image of the underground below the tree. The idea is basically of a plateau which can only be reached from the tunnel through the tree. the water in the image could run behind the point of view and off a water fall maybe, or even be a still lake, but I prefer the idea of a waterfall.
