a new environmental piece, I feel this one is much more of a concept than my previous efforts. The image is based in the last environment image I posted, it's stood out near the town hall looking towards the residence of the town leaders. I used the design of the smaller houses to create one huge house to try and show how they are higher up in the hierarchy of the town. overall I'm happy with the image, a few small bits which didn't quite go as planned, but generally it's a huge leap forward for me and my advancement with environment illustration and concept creation.

I have three variations of the image for colour and lighting, day, morning and night time. I think from the images I have done, I find that I am very happy with my experimental method of creating grass, which i drew ideas for from creating hair in a previous post. I also find that my style of illustration for this scene is very reminiscent of 50's sci-fi.
