The 12 Principles of Animation.
The 12 Principles of animation are animation theory created by Disney during the 1930's and is still practiced today. The 12 principles are there to try and imitate real life as effectively as possible in animation.
The 12 principles are the following:
-Squash and Stretch
-Anticipation
-Staging
-Straight ahead action and pose to pose
-Follow through and overlapping action
-Slow in and slow out
-Arcs
-Secondary action
-Timing
-Exaggeration
-Solid drawing
-Appeal
