I've been spending a lot of time thinking about how I want the character of the Queen to look, and spent time looking at different faces to find features which i think would suit the personality I'm going for. Since the Princess is beautiful in the story, I figured the Queen would have to be rather good looking, which effected my choices of features. The combination I have gone for seems a bit random, but after playing around with different features, I found these to be a good combination for the mature, beautiful and intelligent character of the Queen (mature for the Bronze Age, life expectancy was roughly 26 years old).

The combination I have come up with utilizes the eye and brow shape of Gwen Stefani, the nose and cheeks of Natalie Portman, and the mouth/jaw of Amanda Righetti. I have put these faces together and digitally painted over the top to merge the features together more like an actual face and not a cut and paste exercise.

Later on in my character design, depending on the route I go down for the clothing, I may play around with different patterns/designs for the face as the Celts in Britain first appeared around the Bronze Age, and they were known for their woad warpaint (the blue stuff).
